2021/06/26 Dimibo at Broadway Club, Walnut Creek
π 2021-06-26 01:01 in Clubbing
Thanks to Seventh Sign for organizing and playing at this great psytrance night, and Khromata for her great set too before Dimibo.

This was my very first fully indoors, no indoor dining event since covid, you know just a regular club that you go and dance in. That was awesome!

First time using my new outfit for a real event. Still work in progress with a few bugs, but it's getting there. It's great when I happen to have the right shirt for the occasion, haha :)

I wasn't the only one who used the opportunity to dress up :)

Seventh Sign started the evening with a nice psy set, and handed off to Khromata after that, who played my favorite set from her so far, really good psy:

It was then time for Dimibo to take over and finish the night:

Except for the club shutting them down 10mn early in the middle of a great finishing track (WTF was that?), it was a great night. Glad to be back. Thanks Connor!

2021/06/10 Fast Toys track day at Laguna Seca and my first time in the F488C
π 2021-06-10 01:01 in Ncars
After selling my F458C because I didn't want to own a car I was not driving that much, my plan was to rent Fast Toys' F488C which definitely has more power than my F458C did.
It's a bit more of a handful to drive given the turbos and my first session was a disaster, I believe mostly because the tires on the car had an issue I'm not sure about and I literally spun 3 times during my first session, I couldn't believe it. I had traction control on 3 (most aggressive) and still spun twice while trying hard not to.

I got the tires changed, and after that everything was fine, although I wasn't really in the zone and probably a bit scared by losing the car 3 times in the morning, and not knowing how much I could push it anymore, so I only got down to a 1:36 when the car is apparently good for around 1:28 or so.
Here's my best 1:36.08 lap:

Another day at Laguna, lots of nice cars:

2021/06/03 Another Loop of Montebello to Pagemill, This Time With Johannes
π 2021-06-03 01:01 in Hiking
Happy Johannes asked me if I wanted to bike up Mt Hamilton with him, and some remnant of common sense in me said that maybe it might not be the best time for me (I remember it's a very long, and very fun, drive up, but probably a long ass bike ride).

So, I thought it'd make things easier by offering a bike ride up montebello across to black mountain to pagemill. Afterall I had gotten up in less than 1h30 last time (starting from home)....

Oh boy, there was the small detail that I hadn't biked in over 6 months, and that sure showed. My legs were definitely not strong and it took me an embarassing 1h55 to get to the top of montebello

21mn just to get to the bottom of montebello was already not a good sign

It took me forever to get home (3h45 in all), but got home at 21:00 in the dark :)

Thanks a lot Johannes for joining me and being patient.
