This was my first beyond wonderland in socal, my last one was 6 years prior 10mn from my house at Shoreline. The setup on this one was definitely better given the extra room at that location, and Insomniac generally going all out a bit more every year:
Festival Grounds
Lots of nice places or people to hang out:
Definitely looking good at night:
People
One thing Insomniac really does well is the amount of costumed perfomers:
Of course, I also had fun playing with the crowd and decors :)
this was an unusual find :)
People were there to have fun as always :)
And great to run into friends as usual:
Hi Chris, thanks again for all your work
Day #1
Anyway, let's get to the festival days. The first day had a good trance lineup, so I mostly hung out with the trance DJs, even if I went to see a few other ones too:
the visuals were pretty bad ass
And Blastoyz finished the night with a banging set I entirely recorded:
he was able to bring his parents on stage

Day #2
Day #2 was not a trance day, so it was a good excuse to see other stages
Ben Nicky was a surprisingly enjoyable set
Netsky was some good DnB
Then was time for the end of the night with Seven Lions and Above and Beyond:
and free infomercial :)

Definitely a lot of fun, exceeded expectations. Thanks to Anna for the recommendation.
