Day 3: OSDN and Gnome Parties

VA had an OSDN party to celebrate the release of Debian Potato (Debian 2.2). OSDN, if you haven't heard of it yet is the Open Source Developer Network.

Just like last year, VA had rented out the Usual, and also got the Billiard place next door.

What can I say? It was awesome. I had been waiting for full year to have San Mehat from VA, and Zac Sprackett, the two VA Canadian DJs. They just completely rock (of course, you have to like techno mixes, which is why you had the option of going to the billiards next door if you had a different taste in music :-))

I guess the only part that sucked with VA buying Andover is that last year they played at the Andover party and the VA party while this year there was only one party for them to play at :-)

Eh, this was a complete blast, we should definitely have those more often :-)

Across the street there was a Gnome party, with a pretty mean goon squad.
The funny thing is that the door goons wouldn't let me in even though there were at least ten people inside who told them they knew me and they should let me in, including a guy from Eazel (Gnome party, get it?). Since the door folks had to made sure that no unwelcome people got inside, I had to wait until some cool folks inside managed to get me an invite...

That party was nice too, and you could find some anti-techno refugees there :-)
