Day 4: Geeks with Guns

That's it, LinuxWorld Expo was now officially over. So, after helping V.A. to tear down their booth, I went to the event that Rob Walker (V.A.) organized: Geeks with Guns (the link brings you to Eric Raymond's page, where you'll find more info on the history of this event)

We went to a small party organized by V.A. research (thanks guys), and Rob handled the wild crowd :-)

Don't you think they make a cute couple? :-)

I'm sure you hadn't guessed what he had in his little bag :-)

We eventually made it to a Targetmaster in Milpitas, and since more than half of the group had never fired a gun (myself included), the experienced people in the group gave us a few lessons (Rob Walker, Jordan Hubbard, Joe McGuckin and Deirdre Saoirse. Thanks to all of them).

Rob, showing us how not to shoot ourselves :-)

jordan, the cool freebsd guy

Well, he was cool, but heavily armed :-)

Thanks to his expert advise...

[picture]
... I didn't do too bad (I was shaking a bit, maybe because of the many penguin caffeine mints I had had)

[picture]
Why do my holes look really small in comparison? That's what I call some major weaponry...
